Meet Sharmaine "Nuenuee" Johnson, an authentic multimedia personality based in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, California. Drawing upon her diverse background and educational accomplishments, Sharmaine received a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Health Services from Western Michigan University and a Master's degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from Walden University.
During her transformative transition from student to professional in 2017, Sharmaine discovered her deep passion for music, pop culture, health, wellness, and giving back to the community. This ignited her journey of sharing positive stories with the world through blogging and media, creating The Nuesstand.
In 2018, Sharmaine's talents were recognized, and she was invited to contribute her positive content and unique interviewing skills to a local media outlet in Miami called Pretty Hustlaz. It was during this experience that her love for journalism flourished.
Determined to further her media career, Sharmaine relocated to Los Angeles in 2019, taking a leap of faith and pursuing her dreams. Without the support of a media company, she took the initiative to take The Nuesstand to new heights, which has since become a hub for circulating purposeful and uplifting content related to pop culture, health, beauty, and more. The Nuesstand caters to individuals striving to create and maintain a positive and healthy lifestyle mentally, physically, and spiritually.
Over the past five years, Sharmaine has established herself as a prominent media personality, covering prestigious events such as the Daytime Emmys, NAACP Image Awards, and Hollywood Unlocked Social Impact Awards. Through her insightful interviews, she has engaged with A-list talents including Tabitha Brown, Nelly, Eric Bellinger, BIA, Kevin Gates, Crystal Hayslett and more. Sharmaine's work can currently be found in renowned publications such as Blavity's 21Ninety, REVOLT, and 247 Live Culture Magazine.
